When we draw down the power and depth of vastness into a single perception, then we are discovering and invoking magic. By magic, we do not mean unnatural power over the phenomenal world but rather the discovery of innate or primordial wisdom in the world as it is. The wisdom we are discovering is wisdom without beginning, something naturally wise, the wisdom of the cosmic mirror.
You might think that something extraordinary will happen to you when you discover magic. Something extra-ordinary does happen. You simply find yourself in the realm of utter reality, complete and thorough reality.

A man was walking through the wood, ruminating on his many troubles. He stopped to rest against a tree. The tree was a magical tree that would instantly grant the wishes of anyone who came in contact with it - this he did not know.
The man was thirsty and wished for a drink. Instantly, a cup of cool water appeared in his hand. Alarmed, he looked at the water, decided it was safe, and drank it. He realized he was hungry. He wished he had something to eat. A meal appeared for him.
"My wishes are being granted," he thought. "Well, then," he spoke out loud, "I wish for a beautiful home." The home appeared in the meadow. A big smile crossed his face as he wished for servants to take care of the house. When they appeared, he knew he had access to incredible power.
Next, he wished for a beautiful, loving, and intelligent woman to share his good fortune with. She appeared. "Wait a minute... this is ridiculous!" the man exclaimed to the woman. "I'm not this lucky. This can't be happening to me." As he spoke, everything disappeared. He shook his head and said, "I knew it." He walked away thinking about his many troubles.
Blessed is the mind that bows in consecration of itself to the heart - our heart.
